U-bolts are mainly used for fixing tubular objects, such as water pipes or sheets, just like the slatted springs of cars building installation, mechanical parts connection, vehicles ships, bridges tunnels railroads, etc. The main shapes of U-bolts are: semi-circular, square right angle, triangle, oblique triangle, etc. So what should you pay attention to when installing U-bolts? Nanning Aozhan Fastener Co., Ltd. will give you advice.
Points to note when installing U-bolts:
(1) Raw materials for U-bolt applications. In the work sometimes ignore some knowledge of U-bolts, not clear what raw materials U-bolts are made of, and the choice of poor materials usually reduces the service life of U-bolt applications. This refers to galvanic leaching. In such a case, some metal material composition can cause softening. For example, when a stainless steel plate rubs against aluminum, it pulls the electrode out of the aluminum block. That can make the aluminum dissolve quickly. Based on past work experience, in order to better prevent the infiltration of other metal materials, first ensure that you apply the metal material what has. If you have applied pipes that must be rolled, consider applying U-bolts with a thermosetting coating that will reduce friction and help prevent cracking or tearing of the pipe.
(2) The depth of the U-bolt determines the mobility of the pipe or pipeline. However, if the depth of the U-bolt is not deep enough, it can be a big problem. If the nut widens beyond the end of the bolt, additional working pressure is added to the bolt and the nut. This means that the nut is not easily and firmly bonded to the U-bolt because the force and pipe pulls it off, causing the bolt to fall and the object to burst. In turn, make sure that the U-bolt widens through the full top of the head of the nut.
(3) Be precise when tightening U-bolts. When punching holes, you should use the correct way to tighten the nuts. Too loose and the nut will come loose. Too tight, maybe it will strip the wire. We should apply special tools to tighten the nut, and never force tighten or screw the nut too tight.
(4) The holes for mounting U-bolts must be firmly installed on both sides of the bolt. If the holes are large, they will be empty to accommodate harmful corrosive chemicals, such as dust or water. It may also cause the bolt to wobble, the pipe to shake and the load bearing beam to break. At the same time, an overly tight hole is likely to force or hammer the U-bolt into the hole and may cause the male threads to fall off. There are certain through-hole standards for installing U-bolts, and it is important to follow such standards to ensure proper drilling.
These are the four kinds of problems that should be paid attention to when installing U-bolts, I hope it will be helpful to you.
