For example, steel plate springs are connected by U-bolts, which are widely used in construction installation, mechanical parts connection, vehicles and ships, bridges, tunnels and railroads, etc. So how to install U-bolts? Please follow the following five processes to ensure proper installation of U-bolts.
Process 1: Remove the nut. The U-bolt needs to be coupled with a nut on its external thread. So first remove the nuts from both sides of the bolt.
Process 2: Place the U-bolt. Place the U-bolt around the object to be coupled to the beam or bracket. This object is usually a pipe or duct.
Process 3: Check the holes, please drill the holes properly on the support points properly. If you have drilled through the light, please ensure that its protective plating is not damaged. Cracks in the plating are likely to cause rusting around the hole. So it is very necessary to check the surface around the hole before installing the U-bolt.
Process 4: Put the bolt through and put the 2 bolt ends through the hole, followed by tightening the nuts on both sides of the U-bolt cover.
Process 5: Tighten the nuts. There is a difference between the installation of the nuts on the restraint device and the installation of the guide device. If you apply restraint equipment, you must tighten the nuts on the bottom side of the beam. For guiding equipment, you must place a nut on the top of the load-bearing beam and a nut on the bottom side. This nut allows a moderate space between the pipe and the U-bolt. Once the nuts are installed, first hand-tighten the nuts near the beam and then tighten the second nut at each end so that the U-bolts can be locked into place. The nuts should then be tightened with a tool or wrench until they are held in place.
