External Tooth Lock Washer
External tooth lock washers are a common type of lock washer. They are round washers with uniform, sharp radial serrations on the outer edge. They are typically installed between the nut or bolt head and the fastener. Externally toothed lock washers comply with national standards (GB/T 861.1) and German standards (DIN 6797). They are indispensable in vibrating machinery, load-bearing structures, and joints requiring high preload. They provide excellent anti-loosening and anti-slip properties. To enhance the locking and engagement properties of the washers, we can heat treat them to increase the hardness and toughness of the serrations, or phosphate the surface to improve corrosion and wear resistance.
